How do you shave you underarms without having tiny hair stubbles still remaining there?

maybe it's because I have thick, dark hair, but I can't seem to get the closest shave possibly. it is normal to shave your underarms using a razor and shaving gel and still have tiny short hairs remaining? I wish to have hair-free underarms, but hair removal products don't work for me either.

Sounds like you are doing it right. Try using one of those razors that have more than one blade (like a triple blade is great!). You do not mention if you use one of those or not. Your other option that might help would be to lighten the hair so it just isn't as noticeable.

instead of shaving from top to bottom, kind of make an x with the razor. like shave at an angle.

The key is to keep your armpits moisturized just like you do the rest of your skin. Dry skin can lead to hard to shave skin. Use a deoderent with lotion or powder (like dove) and maybe even use lotion too at night. When you are going to shave put the gel on and let it sit for a bit before you shave. Always make sure to have a sharp razor as well. Hope this helps.

I use conditioner or oil of olay sensitive skin body wash (applied directly to the skin) instead of gel and I use schick xtreme razors, this seems to be the only way for me.

Hair in your underarms grow in all different directions, so you can't just shave downward or upward. You need to shave upwards, downwards and side to side so that you're at some point going against the grain of the hair.

i have the same problem, and you have to make sure that you wash off all the deodorant before you start shaving or it's harder to shave. you could also try going over it a few times.
