How to soften / flatten thick spikey hair?

I'm Asian, (the ching chang chong kind!) and have for most of my life thick / spikey (unintentional) hair, I have to use a ton of gel to get it to stay down.

I see so many people with really really short hair that just sits flat on their head without sticking up, I'm really envious and am hoping someone can help me, I just want my hair to lay flat on my head without applying gel Every Day!!!

Then I can finally have a Short hair cut!

Thanks in advance.

when your hair is dry apply a rung out wet towel and let it sit for a while. it will take a month or so to train your hair to lay this way

Aussie Dual Personality + Conditioner Mousse, works really well for your hair type. I have a friend at work who had a similar problem. And that is what she started using, and it works great. And doesn't weigh your hair down like gels. They also have a Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner all in one. that she uses, and her hair looks great.

Hope this helps.

  2. Listen! I have the same hair issue, and recently purchased these 3 items that ROCK, and make your hair lay flat. REDKEN Rough clay, REDKEN cement/concrete, difi extreme hold styling cream, and CHI Enviro 54 Natural Hold Hair Spray. They ALL hold like a charm. They are pretty pricey, but they do the trick!
