okay my hair is naturally curly-not tight curly, loose curly. and i've been perming my hair since the age of 10. i want my hair to be straight, b/c it was never really straight. i want to get a flat iron but my mom says that its not a gd idea b/c i perm it. and everytime after i wash my hair, its curly but then air dries into an annoying frizz.wen i my hair dries i put oil in it which is suppose to "condition" it and less frizz and i wear my hair up, never down since its not completely straight. i mean i put my hair in a bun for like 4 days and it gets wavy straight(which is kinda nice but im tired of waiting 4 days for my hair to get straight). So finally i ask you how do i straighten my hair. and if i want to wear it curly do i put moose/gel in it to make it loose curly and dried up?? Thx

You need some hair products in your hair to keep it from frizzing, oils won't do it all by itself. Try a silicone based gel or maybe even a smoothing serum. A ceramic iron will certainly help with the curl/wave problem, but even then, you will have to use products to help it stay that way.

If you use hairspray that will help as well...

U need to get a CERAMIC Iron that would take the frizz away and leave it shiny..I used to perm my hair for years and color it too....now it's got a natural curl and I use a flat ceramic iron..and my hair is nice and shiny NO frizz

well my cousin got a perm but she still straightened it with a straightener,unless you got your hair permanently straightend you hair would go back to being curly after you washed it.

Well, If you cut your hair after you get it permed doesnt the perm fall out? I think? Well it sounds like your hair is JUST like mine, I use a hair straightener called a "CHi" and i love it, its perfect for my hair, But it coast a pretty penny. about $200, but its worth it and it lasts a life time.

my mom has a perm and i straighten it with my flat iron for her sometimes and it wont ruin the perm but sumtimes it might make your hair to dry or fried so u might wanna get moisture spray or gell befor u use the iron so it wont make it dryed out and spray moisture stuff afterwards

and if u want it curly again just wash it

oh yea and u might want to get heat protectant spray to spray befor u flatten it
