What is the best way to straighten my hair?

i have very curly long hair i typically wear it down and gel it and then it goes into nice curls. What is the best way to straighten it and how permanent is it? I don't want anything that makes it permanantly straight, just for a few days, or until i wash it out. I know there are straightening irons, but are there straightening shampoos that I can just wash it and dry it straight (air dry is better, but blow-dry can be arranged)? When I blow-dry it, it's straight but also poufy. I don't know which is best to use because some can be very damaging to your har.

HELP!!!!!!!!!

What is the best way to straighten my hair?

there is this hair stuff out there that protects your hair away from heat when you straighten it. idk what its called but my friend has it and im gunna go buy it too one day. it comes in an orange bottle. you could also leave your hair curly some days, cause curly hair isnt ugly! its so cute!

What is the best way to straighten my hair?

a ceramic flat iron will be best. less damaging than a meddle flat iron. and the shampoo leaves you really "fluffy" looking. the iron will leave it curly for a few days, basically till you wash it.

depending on your texture, you can get a relaxer put in, but leave that to the professionals. it is perminate and if you mess it up, you could burn your head.

i have the same exact problem but, there is this jel that you put in your hair and after like 10 minutes it straightens out. but one bad thing, i forgot what it's called

What is the best way to straighten my hair?

OMG i know exactly what you mean i have the same exact hair as you! Im pretty sure that there arent any straigtening shampoos or conditioners but if there was that would be cool! anyways i straighten my hair with a ceramic straightening iron, those work the best with curly hair. Most like walmart cheap brands dont work for your kind of hair. Like my hair gets frizzy and its very curly and poofy so none of the walmart brands work very well. So i would highly reccommend a ceramic straightener! Hope I helped!

What is the best way to straighten my hair?

i dont have super curly hair

but i use a flat iron

you could also use a heat activated straightening cream

which means it straightens your hair while you blow dry it.

ive really never used anything else besides a flat iron,

i really like it,

but i heard it takes a while when you have really curly hair,

so have a lot of time on your hands if you want to straighten it.

hope i helped!

What is the best way to straighten my hair?

I would say that you should invest in a good quality straightening iron like a CHI because a cheap one will only damage your hair. I also have long curly hair and this is what i do:

1) Use Herbal Essences Pin Straight Shampoo and Conditioner

2) Use a small amount of de-frizz serum

3) Either let it air dry or blowdry straight using a round brush

4) Seperate your hair in thin layers, working from the bottom up, use a straightening iron (be sure to use heat protectant spray first).

there your hair should be perfectly straight and lovely!

What is the best way to straighten my hair?

you can get it chemically straightened, like a reverse perm kind of, and it lasts a few months.

but it's a couple hundred dollars, unfortunately.

but the best thing for this kind of thing is go to a sally beauty supply store.

they've got every possibility imaginable.

good luck.

and remember, curly hair is super beautiful, too.

I've got wavy, so I easily go both directions.

good luck bby.

What is the best way to straighten my hair?

I went to beauty school although i am not working in the field I have my own business of another type now. but I will say this don't use any cream types of straightners they are so harsh and damaging believe it or not its a perm. you see perm solution is what breaks down the structure of the hair takes away the shpae so when you get a perm to make your hair curly you place the curlers around the hair then pour on perm solution this breaks down the hair (which in this case is straight) but at the same time its doing that you have already placed the curler in your hair so your hair will form around the curler and take the shape of the cirler which gives the curl. Now after approx. 20 minutes you rince the perm solution out and immediately put on neturlizer this is what hardens your hair back up and sets in the curl. so to straighten your hair you just do the opposite you wash your hair clean do not put any conditioner or cream rinse on it towel dry it lightly you want your hair to still be completely wet. and put the perm solution on your hair all over now your going to take a wide tooth comb to start with and start coming it threw your hair start at bottom of hair and go up to make sure no tangles are in it infact comb it good before you put solution on it and then as it smoothly goes threw your hair switch to a smaller tooth comb and just keep combing it till your hair become straight then that should be 20 minures just look in mirror and watch it then if you could lean backward in the tub with your back against the tub use a cup and rinse it out this way your hair is pretty much staying in position rinse good pat it dry and put neturilizer in your hair comb it threw make sure you don't miss any hair cause if you miss it with neturlizer the part you miss will go back to being curly after 5 minutes rinse your hair comb it let it dry wash it the next day. your hair will be straight now this usually last 6 months to 8 months.and you don't have to fool with irons all the time and believe it or not color is harder on your hair and also you must get the perm that goes with your hair regular for hair with no color or highlights or "for color hair" perm. its a great tip
