How can I straighten my hair?

I have tried everything, straightening irons, gels and lotions but my hair has really annoying curls towards the edges.

My hair used to be straight btw, but now its going curly and I hate it, thanks a lot everyone!

BTW my hair comes up to around the top of my eyes

Anywhom, I have sorta the same problem. I can't find a solution, I think I might try getting it chemically relaxed. Although that doesn't sound enjoyable
