I use suave for men shampoo. I have very thick hair, and I currently use a light gel to fix this. What should I use to stop this?

The gel probably contains alcohol that is drying your hair out.... Go and buy either Bain de Terre strengthening serum or Chi silk infusion... Put this on before your gel. Or look for an alcohol free gel

i would get a hair cut and start fresh! then take better care of your hair! avoid hair dryers and use a good leave in conditioner.

Those are a lot of new hairs growing in, you don't want to damage them.

As far as the shampoo, you have to be smart about what you cleanse your hair with. Most of these products on the market are loaded with sulfates, protein, and alcohol. Try a shampoo for chemically treated hair and that should help out some. If you can locate a Redken Salon try to get you some "water wax". Conditioner wise don't worry about it. All your hair needs is moistering. For that I can recommend a profession line of produce called Moisterier by "Joico" you may also find this in the salon's. Hope these tips help

Using conditioner will smooth your hair. You use it in the shower after shampoo and then rinse it out.

To get rid of split ends you need to get a trim.
