How do I get my hair to flip out at the ends, I'm a boy? TEN POINTS?

I have thick and straight hair. I want it to still be straight but flip out at the ends. I don't want to use gel because it will make my hair darker in those areas and I want it to move freely. Can I use my mom's curling iron? And if so, how? I'm a boy and I've never tried anything like this. I don't have a straightener because I don't have a sister.

Mine is that thick, but it's not flipped out. It's right up against my ears and my face. Do you know what I mean?

i flip my hair out all the time, only difference is im not a boy, i use a round brush, the brushes that are shaped like a cylender. or use a curling iron, it will give you the more rounded flip, a straightner will just make it flip at an angle and really isn't a flip its more of what you would get if you used a crimper. make sure the curling iron is on the highest setting and hold in in for a little bit if your using the curling iron

If you want it to flip at the end then dont use a curling iron you need a straightener.Then you just take the straightener and take the ends and flip them at the angle that you want them in then just hold it for about 30 seconds then use some hairspray to keep them flipped.

my advice, it to use wax or pommade. bedhead works amazingly!! and no you can't really do it with your moms curling iron, but if she has a flat iron, just go down your hair, and turn the flat iron up at the ends.

You apply the product to the tip of your fingers, then you apply to the ends of your hair.

And when you apply to hair, do it in an "upward motion".

Try getting a round brush and flip it out with the brush while you're drying it.....after a while your hair will become "trained" and it will start flipping on its own.

when you wash em or simply when they are wet bend a bit, lower your head and comb them upwards. letem dry out for a while and then make a style.
