It's a little thicker but it's better for your hair. You can also buy alternatives to mousse like oil in most hair cutteries. My hair is very curly and most of these products work. I have the same problem, so I feel for you... My hairdresser showed me a trick, I hope it works for you. It does take some time though.. the only down fall. After you wash your hair, use a really good conditioner. But do not rinse, get a clear bag, cover your head, then use the blow dryer to heat up your hair. I leave mine in for about 15mins after I heat my hair. Then rinse it. I hope it works for you.
