How can I keep my hair perfectly still like a gentlemen's?

You know what hair do's are like if you see people with tuxedos, its all slick and straightly combed back like its tied, and on the back its curled to make it look like its rich, and the right hair is just combed like a wave. I put gel on my hair but in a little longer some hair stands up, is it steam that it needs to make it steady? How can I make my hair just like those in "rich movies" and butlers

%26gt;Misc.

I have silky hair

But I have dandruff as well

My hair all stands up after shower, it doesnt stay down like it used to when I was a kid- I guess I took a hair cut too much here in l.a

I wear a beanie and it goes down if wore long enough, but I think about my dandruff

I watched the movie The Great Gatsby, their hair do's are so extravagant

I used to have dandruff, the best way to get rid of it is to use head and shoulders. It makes you hair look awsome and it gets rid of the dandruff. To make it perfectly still, you can use the aussie hairspray. There is one that makes you hair freeze. It smells pretty strange, but it works really well

your going to need a hair pomade or a wax or a combination of both, gels are too crispy and light weight for the slicked back look. try growing your hair a bit so the product has a bit more hair to stick to, then liberally apply a wax with moderate hold and some shine. if you cant find one that has both, mix a hard wax and a shine pomade.apply it to clean damp hair. itll take some playing around to get the curves/lines right, but those are actually quite easy styles to accomplish. as for the dandruff, the wax is slightly sticky in nature, so itll keep the flakes stuck to your scalp untill you wash it out instead of having it flake off everywhere. a fine tooth comb and a wax/pomade mixture is all thats needed for those conservative classic looks. if its too flat when you comb it back, you can "push" it foreward with your hand for a little added volume.

*back in the day when gatsby was written, the only hair products around where waxes and pomades, so using them is the authentic way of doing it. brilliantine was a favourite pomade of the time, not sure what the modern equivalent would be, but check out d:fi. mix equal parts of the hard wax and the shine pomade in the palm of your hand till smooth and creamy. youll figure out the amout youll need by playing with the products, probably about the size of a quarter. if you need stronger hold, more wax, more shine, more pomade, play it up and in no time youll be rockin the slick look*
