I was born with thick straight hair. But over the years I've been using products such as: gel, wax, blow dryed it (once) ect..And now my hairs all frizzy, poofy, dry, and with little curls. Now I'm not using anything in my hair, but it's still like that. Did using all that stuff damaged my hair? And if so how can I get my hair back to it's original state? Please and thank you.

put heated olive oil into your hair --wrap it up with saran wrap or a shower cap -- and let it soak in for 30 minutes
Do this once a week and then shampoo it out with biolage shampoo for dry and damaged hair OR nexxus therapee OR aussie shampoo with moisturizers

Yes it did!!! Natural hair is the best!... You can do that once in a blue moon like special occasions only... hm... once the hair follicle is damaged, you may not be able to restore it (not really sure).
Instead of those shampoos and whatever... use natural stuff like mayonnaise, milk or coconut oil. ofcourse wash them out after some hours.. you don't wanna stink! I'm not saying you shouldn't use shampoo anymore... these are my suggested treatments. Also after shampooing, use conditioner. *note: Conditioner must NOT touch your scalp! it's only for the hair. And should stay on for a minute only*
And get a fresh haircut for a fresh growth. Also keep in mind that getting haircuts makes your hair fuller or thicker.
